Censor Board's newest target is Nawazuddin Siddiqui's film 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz', as they demand 48 cuts for the film to be screened and certified

A still from 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz'

The Censor Board is at it again. The moral policing just doesn't seem to be crossed off their agenda. This time, the unlucky movie which they are eyeing through the regressive prism is Nawazuddin Siddiqui, 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz'. The censor board has suggested 48 cuts in the film 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz' in order to get certified. Last time, there was a furore across the country, when they refused to certify 'Lipstick Under My Burkha. They have also refused to certify yet another film 'Ka Bodyscapes' which is a Malayalam film based on homosexuality. With 48 cuts, there would probably be nothing left in it to be screened and released for the audiences.

However, this is not the first time the movie has ran into trouble. Chitrangada Singh had walked out of the film, when she accused the director of using 'unparliamentary language' while asking her to do 'intimate scenes'. She was replaced by Bidita Bag. The casting director Sanjay Chouhan too made it to the headlines, when he said he couldn't find anyone as fair and handsome with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The actor had expressed his displeasure on at this insensitive comment on Twitter.

The movie is set to release on August 25, that is if they comply to the Censor Board's ludicrous demands.
