On Monday, July 20, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) held a Chalo Sansad march towards the Parliament House to protest against the NEET paper leak. However, the protests turned violent after students faced a lathi charge and the release of tear gas. Following the incident, several celebrities have come forward to condemn the violence and stand in solidarity with the protests and the students. Actor Swara Bhasker, who has been one of the first celebrities to publicly support the student movement, has now called out the government for reportedly deploying additional CRPF companies in Delhi.

Swara Bhasker calls it a 'war on youth'

Swara shared a video on Instagram, wherein she expressed her dissatisfaction over the government's reported deployment of more security forces to deal with students who have been protesting in the national capital. She went on to say that these measures indicated that the "Indian government has declared war on the youth of this country."

In the video, Swara said, "What is really screwed up about the government response to the Delhi protest is that they have the Delhi police in the full riot gear and on like the battle front, they have RAF (Rapid Action Force), they have 20 additional companies of CRPF coming to Delhi and now it is reported that they are also calling 10 more companies of CRPF from Kashmir. So, apparently students, who are leading a peaceful protest and are fighting for their own future, and have totally legitimate demands, are more dangerous to the Indian government than Pakistan and China. Let's say it s it is: The Indian government has declared war on the youth and children of this country. It is absolutely shameful."

In the caption, she wrote, "It feels like the Indian Govt. has declared war on the children and youth of our country! Shame!!"

According to PTI, a total of 20 CRPF companies are being deployed in Delhi to strengthen the law and order in view of the CJP protests.

When Swara Bhasker visited Jantar Mantar

Earlier, Swara had visited Sonam Wangchuk, who was on a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. She later thanked Abhijeet Dipke, founder of CJP, on Instagram, saying, "Thank you for fighting for the future of all of our children." She also penned a note for Wangchuk, saying, "The indefatigable Sonam Wangchuk sir is fighting for your children's future. All my solidarity and gratitude."
