Daisy Shah
Actress Daisy Shah has been vocal about her industry struggles and personal life. She has opened up about her views on marriage and motherhood, revealing that she has frozen her eggs and believes marriage isn't essential to build a family. The 41-year-old said she values independence and wants a financially secure partner.
In an interview with Filmygyan, she said, "I don't have any alternative thoughts about marriage. I've left everything to God. I don't think you need to get married to build a family," adding, "I've frozen my eggs, so I can become a mother whenever I want. I can have my own child."
During the conversation, Daisy was asked to choose between "pyaar" (love) and "paisa" (money). The 41-year-old responded that she would want both. She added that she would prefer a partner who is financially independent and secure on his own.
Speaking about marriage, Daisy admitted that current events and disturbing news reports about relationships have influenced her thinking. "Every day there's something happening - couples breaking up or those shocking âblue drum' cases. It's very scary," she said.
This is not the first time Daisy has spoken candidly about freezing her eggs. Previously, the Race 3 actress spoke about her marriage plans on Hauterrfly and clarified that she prefers her independence over being "dependent on a man." While she isn't considering motherhood at the moment, she revealed that she has frozen her eggs like Priyanka Chopra, on a friend's advice.
Daisy Shah is currently working on a film being directed by singer-turned-filmmaker Palaash Muchhal. Palaash was in the news last year for his wedding with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, which was eventually called off. The project marks Palaash Muchhal's next directorial venture after Ardh, starring Rajpal Yadav and Rubina Dilaik, and Kaam Chalu Hai, which featured Rajpal Yadav, Giaa Manek, and Kurangi Nagraj.
The film, set against the backdrop of Mumbai, will reportedly feature Shreyas in the role of a common man. However, details regarding the storyline, supporting cast, and release date have been kept under wraps.
Speaking about her journey in the industry, Daisy started her career as a background dancer and soon went on to become a leading lady in Salman Khan's films, including Jai Ho and Race 3. However, the films failed to perform at the box office, and the actress has been struggling professionally. Previously, she was part of the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
