After playing Priyanka Chopra's husband in Mary Kom (2014), an antagonist in Anushka Sharma's NH 10 (2015) and a lawyer in Sarbjit (2016), Darshan Kumaar has now landed the lead role in Amit Singh's Mirza Juuliet.
The love story also features Pia Bajpai, who was seen opposite Randeep Hooda in the action-thriller Laal Rang (2016). Shot in Benares, the film is directed by Rajesh Ram Singh. Singh says, "We were looking for an unconventional hero and Darshan was perfect for the role."
