The iconic comedy franchise, Dhamaal, is set to return with the fourth instalment, Dhamaal 4. Directed by Indra Kumar, the comedy film brings Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi from the original film, along with Ajay Devgn joining the cast. Days after the makers held a grand trailer launch event, the movie has now cleared CBFC certification after undergoing changes, as the film inches closer to release.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified the Ajay Devgn-starrer with a U/A 13+ certificate. The film was granted clearance but only after certain modifications.
According to the report, the modifications include obscene words and gestures. Obscene words were reportedly asked to be replaced in the seven places, while obscene hand gestures were asked to be modified and replaced in two places.
Besides that, no scene was allegedly asked to be cut from Ajay and Riteish's film. After the changes were made, the CBFC reportedly gave a clearance certificate on July 2. As per the report, the runtime of Dhamaal 4, according to the CBFC certificate, is approximately 2 hours and 23 minutes.
Apart from the film's core cast of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi, its supporting cast members include Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar, and Ravi Kishan. Sanjay Mishra, too, is believed to be an integral part of the movie.
Produced by T-Series Films, Panorama Studios, Devgn Films, and Maruti International, Dhamaal 4 will be released in theatres on July 10, 2025.
The previous instalments of the franchise included Dhamaal, Double Dhamaal, and Total Dhamaal. The franchise started in 2007 with Dhamaal, followed by the second part, which was released in 2011. Eight years later, the third part of the film arrived in cinemas. And now, the makers are set to release the fourth one on July 10.
Following Dhamaal 4, Ajay Devgn will be next seen in Drishyam 3. The much-awaited thriller franchise has now entered the post-production stage and is gearing up for its release on October 2, 2026.
