The third and final instalment of Ajay Devgn's upcoming crime thriller, Drishyam The Conclusion, has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the final step for its October 2 release. The film has been certified with U/A certificate, and its official runtime has been revealed.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the third instalment of the film has been cleared by the CBFC without a single cut. Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, the final part is touted to be the final chapter of Vijay Salgaonkar's story. Meanwhile, Mohanlal's Malayalam version has been confirmed to have a fourth part.
The certification details of Drishyam The Conclusion, available on the official CBFC website, state that the film was certified as UA 16+ on Monday, September 28, ahead of its October 2 release. According to the details mentioned, the third part will be 150 minutes long. This makes it the second-longest instalment in the trilogy.
The first instalment, Drishyam, which was released in 2015, remains the longest instalment at 162 minutes. Meanwhile, Drishyam 2 ran for 142 minutes.
A Bollywood Hungama report further states that the CBFC has cleared the film led by Ajay Devgn without any audio or visual cuts or modifications. This indicates that the fans of the franchise will be able to watch the complete version as intended by the makers.
Drishyam 3, named Drishyam The Conclusion marks the return of Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, along with Tabu, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta reprising their roles. Meanwhile, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj have joined the cast in key roles. Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, the third instalment takes the Hindi franchise in a new direction, continuing the original story, unlike the previous instalments which were direct remakes of Mohanlal's Malayalam versions.
Drishyam The Conclusion is slated to arrive in theatres worldwide on October 2, 2026. As per trade experts, the film is expected to take one of the biggest starts for a Hindi film in 2026, with early advance bookings already looking promising.
