As the strike announced by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) enters its eleventh day, few television producers and broadcasters, including Ekta Kapoor, JD Majethia and Punit Goenka (MD & CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited) met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday evening to apprise him on the situation.

Their primary concern was the safety of the workers who were reporting to duty - they requested Fadnavis to provide police security to the non-striking employees.

Majethia, TV unit head of IFTPC (Indian Film & TV Producers Council), says, "We gave an update of the situation to the CM. A threatening atmosphere has been created - instigating speeches are being given outside the Film City and ungraceful acts like mock funerals are being conducted. We want the safety of the workers who are not participating in the strike and are working every day. Fadnavis has assured us that he will speak to the commissioner of Mumbai and take necessary action."
