Emraan Hashmi, who is riding high on the runaway success of Awarapan 2, has been forced to postpone his Bengaluru show after testing positive for H1N1. The actor, who was recently in Ranchi for work, reportedly felt unwell after returning from the shoot. Hashmi was scheduled to headline The Emraan Era, a Bollywood-themed event at Sunburn Union in Bengaluru on August 29.
According to India Today, Emraan had been travelling for shoots and was recently in Ranchi for work. After returning from the trip, the actor reportedly began feeling unwell. He subsequently underwent a medical test and tested positive for H1N1. Doctors have advised him to rest and take basic precautionary measures.
Amid the reports about his health, Emraan also took to his Instagram Stories to inform fans that he would not be able to attend his scheduled show in Bengaluru due to his illness. Addressing his fans, the actor wrote, "Hey Bangalore, I'm really unwell and unfortunately won't be able to make it to the Bangalore show. But picture khatam nahi hua, bas postpone hua hai! I'll see you all at Sunburn Union on 12th September, Saturday. Your tickets will remain valid for the new date. Can't wait to see you guys!"
A week later, on September 5, he will share the stage with DJ Ganesh at Quake Arena in Hyderabad. Emraan has charged a cool Rs 2 crore for the appearances.
Presented by Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films, Awarapan 2 has been produced by Vishesh Bhatt and is written by Bilal Siddiqui. Besides Emraan Hashmi, the film also stars Disha Patani as Zara, Shabana Azmi as Nafisa, Puran Gabbi as Zorawar, Anirudh Rawal as Sikandar, Surendar Vicky as Jaideep, and Vijayant Kohli as Mehmood.
He will next be seen in Gunmaaster G9 alongside Genelia D'Souza, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Singh. Emraan Hashmi stars as Eshwar in this pulpy, stylish action thriller filled with romance, music, and suspense. The film is produced by Deepak Mukut, Hunar Mukut, and Sangeeta Ahir, and presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Directed by Aditya Datt, the action romance is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026.
