Faissal Khan, best remembered for his role in Mela, has often made headlines for his controversial statements against his brother, superstar Aamir Khan, and their family. Last year, he accused his family of kept him under house arrest for a year and administering the wrong medication, while confirming that he had severed ties with them. Months after levelling these serious allegations, Faissal has apologised to his family and admitted he should have resolved the issues in person.
In a recent interview with Ujjwal Trivedi, Faissal was asked about his explosive claims, to which he apologised and admitted he should never have made such statements. "I want to first apologise to my mother. I want to apologise to Nikhat. I want to apologise to Santosh. I also apologise to Aamir. In anger and pain, I said many things that I should never have said. I should not have spoken about those things in public. I should have sat down with my family and discussed them."
He further stated that, more than proving anyone right or wrong, he now wants to maintain harmony with his family. Faissal added that the Quran played a major role in changing his perspective. "I decided to forget whatever anyone had done. Saving relationships is more important."
Last year, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Faissal claimed that Aamir had locked him inside his residence for a full year. He further alleged that during this period, he was administered medication against his will after being told he was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. Faissal also claimed that his mother and sister filed a case against him, alleging that he was a danger to society because of his diagnosis.
He later shared a statement announcing that he was severing ties with his family. The Mela actor also alleged that his family forced him to marry his aunt. Additionally, he made a shocking claim against Aamir, alleging that while he was still married to his first wife, Reena Dutta, he had an affair with a UK-based journalist and fathered a child with her.
Following these allegations, Aamir and his family issued an official statement, saying they were distressed by what they described as a hurtful and misleading portrayal.
