Fardeen Khan with sister Laila
A video of actor Fardeen Khan from a recent Mumbai event is going viral on the internet for his interaction with the paparazzi. In the video, the paps seemingly mistakenly identified the woman with him as his wife. In the video going viral, the Heeramandi actor is seen correcting them, clarifying that the woman accompanying him is actually his sister, Laila Khan.
In the video, Fardeen can be heard telling the paps, "Yeh meri bahen hai, biwi nahi hai. Bahut saare handles mein aap log yahi likhte hai ke yeh meri biwi hai."
For the unversed, Fardeen Khan is married to Natasha Madhvani, the daughter of veteran actress Mumtaz. The couple tied the knot in 2005 and also have two children together, a daughter, Diani, and a son, Azarius. However, currently, the couple is separated and living apart. According to some reports, Natasha is based in London with their children while Fardeen lives in Mumbai. Although there have been reports about their separation, there has been no official confirmation of them being divorced. Nevertheless, the two continue to co-parent their children.
Meanwhile, the woman seen in the video with Fardeen is his sister, Laila Khan. She is also the daughter of the late actor Feroz Khan. Laila is married to businessman Farhan Furniturewala. She largely stays away from the limelight. Unlike her brother Fardeen, she has always kept a low public profile, which likely led to the confusion among paparazzi during the event.
Following his strong comeback with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama series Heeramandi in 2024, Fardeen appeared in back-to-back films like Khel Khel Mein, Visfot and Housefull 5.
Next, he will be seen in Raja Shivaji, a film based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film is directed and headlined by Riteish Deshmukh, and is set to release on May 1, 2026. It also features Sanjay Dutt, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Abhishek Bachchan, Jitendra Joshi, Amole Gupte and Genelia Deshmukh in key roles.
Additionally, Fardeen also has a Kannada-language action film titled Devil: The Hero in the pipeline, which is written, directed and co-produced by Prakash.
