Actor Rajesh Sharma has reportedly been hospitalised after an alleged insect bite on the sets of a Prabhas' film. After the news broke out, many reports claimed that it was the sets of Prabhas' upcoming film Fauzi, which is currently being hsot at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. However, the team of the upcoming film Fauzi has now responded to reports, denying any such incident on the sets.
According to Gulte, the makers have denied reports linking actor Rajesh Sharma's recent health scare to the film's shoot. According to a now-deleted statement shared by Sudipa Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma was hospitalised in Kolkata after he allegedly developed a severe infection triggered by an insect bite which he sustained while shooting for Fauzi at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City.
According to the report, the team expressed total confusion and a lack of awareness about the alleged incident. The team reportedly said that Rajesh Sharma had wrapped up all of his scheduled portions a full week prior to the reports of the incident and had already returned home.
The team further stated that they had not received any initial information or formal communication about any injury or medical incident on the sets. The team further claimed that when they tried reaching out to Rajesh's family members, they did not receive a proper response so far.
Additionally, a report by Track Tollywood also claimed that Rajesh Sharma's personal assistant, Subhashish Panda, dismissed reports about the actor's health altogether. Panda reportedly shared a video wherein he clarified that Sharma was hospitalised after experiencing slight swelling in his leg due to diabetes. He added that the actor was recovering well and would be discharged within the next one or two days.
"I am always with Rajesh Sharma wherever he goes. Nothing of this sort happened in Hyderabad. Some people are spreading these false stories only to serve their own interests," Panda reportedly said.
On July 8, Sudipa Chatterjee shared Rajesh Sharma's health update, sharing that the actor was not yet out of danger and that the doctors are closely monitoring him for possible complications, including the risk of a blood clot.
Her now-deleted note read, "Actor Rajesh Sharma reportedly suffered an insect bite-possibly from a bug or a poisonous spider-while shooting at Ramoji Film City for a film starring renowned actor Prabhas. After pack-up, Rajesh was chatting with local technicians in an area surrounded by dense vegetation when he felt an insect bite. As it did not seem serious at the time, he continued without seeking immediate medical attention."
