Salman Khan performs Ganpati aarti in wrong direction, sister Arpita steps in to correct him

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with full fervour in B-town, and Salman Khan was also seen marking the festival with his family during the visarjan festivities. It was here that his sister, Arpita Khan Sharma, noticed that he was seemingly rotating the aarti thali in the wrong direction and promptly corrected him. The moment was captured on camera and has since gone viral on social media.

In a video, Salman can be seen holding the aarti thali as he performs the ritual amid the Ganpati celebrations. As he rotates the thali, Arpita, who is standing nearby, appears to notice the direction and immediately steps in to guide her brother. Arpita can be seen gesturing to Salman to change the direction of the thali and asking him to continue the aarti the right way. Salman, realising his mistake, immediately follows her instructions, making the moment endearing.

For the celebration, Salman was dressed casually in a black T-shirt paired with a black head covering and a sleeveless grey jacket. Arpita, meanwhile, was seen wearing a traditional green and black embroidered ethnic outfit with floral detailing. The siblings were surrounded by family members, friends and guests as they took part in the Ganpati festivities. Iulia Vantur also joined the celebration and was seen performing aarti after Salman Khan.

This video of the brother-sister's special bond is being widely appreciated on social media. Salman was also seen in a cheerful mood as he arrived at Sohail's residence in Bandra West. After stepping out of his car, the actor posed briefly for the paparazzi gathered outside the venue.

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the 60-year-old posted a reel sharing a reflective quote that asks why something once seemed worth having can lose its essence after it is finally attained. While Salman did not share any context for the video, the thought-provoking message has left fans worried and intrigued about what made him share it.

Salman Khan on the work front

On the professional front, Salman Khan is awaiting the release of Maatrubhumi, previously titled Battle of Galwan. The film is in limbo due to non-clearance of CBFC certification over China's depiction. The Apoorva Lakhia-directed film, which also stars Chitrangada Singh, has no confirmed release date yet. He is currently hosting the new season of Bigg Boss, which premiered on September 6.
