Govinda addresses dating rumours with Rani Swarnkar, calls them ‘strategically planned’

Actor Govinda, who is set to make a comeback with his upcoming film Roopa, sought blessings from Lord Ganpati along with his co-actor Rani Swarnkar at the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja. His visit came hours after Sunita Ahuja's spotting. Govinda has now addressed the buzz about the much-discussed appearance and dating rumours, calling it strategically planned.

Speaking to ANI, Govinda addressed the rumours, saying, "I went to Lalbaugcha to pray for my film ‘Roopa'. Earlier, I visited temples with Karisma Kapoor, and it turned out to be good luck for me. My films were a big hit. I also went with Raveena Tandon and now with Rani Swarnkar. I prayed as I am starting it again after a long time."

Responding to the rumours around his personal life, Govinda stated that it has been strategically planned against him to distance him from his family and defame his image. "It is not anyone's fault. This is a very strategically planned movement. Things are going to happen more. It was a part of the plan to distance me from my family and then tarnish my image in society. I never focused on anything other than my work… I kept working. Many would praise me," the actor added.

Govinda asserted that his personal life should not concern anyone. "This is not a subject for anyone… even if there is an affair. I am working and maintaining a professional relationship," he said.

How Sunita reacted to Govinda's visit

Sunita Ahuja appeared to take a dig at husband Govinda after he was spotted with rumoured girlfriend Komal Rani Swarnkar at Lalbaugcha Raja. Without naming anyone, Sunita said humans are dhokebaaz and praised pets for being more loyal.

The actor's visit with Rani comes amid cheating allegations by wife Sunita Ahuja. The actor's wife had alleged that Govinda is romantically involved with Rani. Sunita had said that the 62-year-old actor should be ashamed of roaming around with a woman his daughter's age and had mocked Rani's clothes. Following this, the actor had strongly reacted to the allegations from his wife.

Govinda had introduced Rani to the media in July as the new co-star in his upcoming film, Roopa, and the matter gained steam after the press conference.
