The makers of Tu Hai Meri Kiran, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, have confirmed that the film will release in theatres on October 23, following a dispute between its producers. Vishal Rana and Sarvesh Goel said the matter has been resolved internally. The development comes amid a legal row involving an alleged Rs 8.85 crore payment.

THMK producers confirm release date

The film has been in the news concerning a dispute between its producers. However, the producers have stated that the matter has been resolved internally and that the film is moving ahead with its planned theatrical release.

Speaking about the development, producer Vishal Rana said in a press statement, "There were certain matters that needed to be addressed, and I am glad that we have been able to resolve them internally. Everything is now sorted, and we are moving ahead with the release of Tu Hai Meri Kiran as planned on October 23. Our focus has always been on bringing the film to audiences, and we look forward to its theatrical release tomorrow."

Producer Sarvesh Goel added, "There have been reports surrounding the film, but I would like to clarify that the matter has been resolved internally. We are moving forward as planned, and Tu Hai Meri Kiran will release in cinemas on October 23. Our priority is to ensure that the film reaches audiences as intended, and we look forward to its release."

About the dispute

AND Movie claimed it had invested Rs 8.85 crore under a co-production agreement signed with Echelon in March 2024. It alleged that the money had not been returned even after the agreed deadline had passed and that a cheque issued towards the payment had been dishonoured. In its defence, Echelon contended that AND Movie had acquiesced to the film's release by actively collaborating on promotional posts on Instagram. Consequently, the bench directed Echelon Productions to deposit Rs 8.85 crore, along with 15 per cent interest, within three working days as security before proceeding with the release. As per Bar and Bench, the Bombay High Court had restrained the theatrical release until the dispute was resolved.

Written and directed by Karan Rawal, Tu Hai Meri Kiran marks Sonakshi and Zaheer's second feature-film collaboration after Double XL. The story explores the dark side of one-sided love and obsession.
