He's 'the boy who lived'. Daniel Jacob Radcliffe, who celebrates his birthday today, rose to prominence when he played the title character in the Harry Potter film series.


Though he's famous for that role, Daniel has an impressive acting record as well. CS brings some more info on the actor:



>> Daniel first expressed a desire to act at the age of five. In December 1999, aged ten, he made his acting debut in the BBC One's televised two-part adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel David Copperfield.

>> His favourite book from the Harry Potter series is number three, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

>> He is a huge fan of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and waited in line for his autograph after the Lords test in July 2007.
