Craving a break

After Arijit Singh stepped away from playback singing in Bollywood, Shreya Ghoshal has said that she respects the courage behind his decision. In a recent interview, she admitted that the thought of taking a break has crossed her mind too. "I also feel like taking a break sometimes. He took that decision very bravely," she said, calling Arijit "a musician from the heart". She added that performing live is central to her identity. "I feel very uncomfortable with lip-syncing. I will stop singing the day I have to do that," she said.

Busy breaking records

Advance bookings for Dhurandhar: The Revenge have surged with three days left for its March 19 release. Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, the sequel has already set a record for the biggest Indian film première, grossing Rs 32.44 crore from preview shows. Opening-day advance bookings have touched Rs 14.66 crore with nearly 10 lakh tickets sold, while worldwide pre-sales stand at about Rs 120 crore. Dhurandhar (2025) was a blockbuster, grossing around Rs 1,300 crore globally.
