Sounds like a grand cameo

Akshay Kumar is set to reunite with filmmaker Neeraj Pandey after more than a decade with a special appearance in the upcoming RD Burman biopic, headlined by Farhan Akhtar. While details of Akshay's role remain under wraps, industry sources suggest it will be a brief yet pivotal part that significantly impacts the narrative. We have learnt that Akshay came on board immediately after hearing the role, marking another collaboration with Neeraj after ‘Special 26' (2013) and ‘Baby' (2015). The biopic is expected to begin filming in September following extensive pre-production.

What we know about the biopic: Farhan Akhtar will play RD Burman in the biopic helmed by Neeraj Pandey, backed by Excel Entertainment. With music sittings underway and a large ensemble cast being assembled, the movie is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2027

Sanjay Dutt has reflected on how Bollywood has changed over the decades, saying the industry has become "much more cut-throat" than when he began his career in the 1980s. Opening up on a podcast, Sanjay recalled, "The industry felt like a family. Everyone was helping one another." He contrasted it with Hollywood, praising the prevailing sense of unity in the industry. "Whenever an actor wins an award, there is no jealousy. You can genuinely see everyone celebrating each other. It's beautiful," he said.

Comedy, confusion, and complete chaos took centre stage as Anupam Kher reunited with his Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006), co-stars for a Friendship Day reel promoting their upcoming film, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. Boman Irani, Ranvir Shorey, and Parvin Dabas, along with Anupam hilariously fumbled through the reel, with Anupam joking that the Khoslas and Khurana were "never in sync". The light-hearted video has delighted fans ahead of the much-awaited comedy sequel, arriving 16 years later. Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, helmed by Prashant Bhagia, is scheduled to release early next year. The movie also stars Divya Khossla, Ravi Kishan, Tara Sharma, and Kiran Juneja.
