A head-turner's tale

Actor Bhagyashree got up-close, and personal while reflecting on ageing, personal growth and her popularity during her school years popularity on mid-day's podcast, The Bombay Film Story. She said, "I guess don't carry grudges, and don't look back in time. I think you age when you look back in time. When you are looking in front, you are ready to grow, to learn, I think that keeps you young." The actor also opened up about her school years, revealing that moving from an all-girls school to a co-educational environment came as a culture shock. "I was in JB Petit High School [in South Mumbai], an all girls' school. And in this part of the town (western suburbs) it was a co-ed school, so it was a [cultural shock]," she recalled. Asked if boys crushed on her, the Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) actor admitted, "There were love letters, yes. They would scratch my name of the desk. It was so embarrassing."

Reliving the rom-com era

The magic of young romance is here to stay. mid-day had earlier reported that Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda would reunite with director Mohit Suri for another love story after the success of ‘Saiyaara' (Double trouble, April 15). The project is expected to go on floors soon, this year. "Ahaan and Aneet are reuniting with Mohit Suri for a fresh romantic story. The film is currently in the pre-production stage, and the makers are aiming to commence principal photography in October-November. There is a lot of excitement within the team as they come together after the phenomenal response of Saiyaara," a source told Pinkvilla.

Not titled ‘Satrange'

Despite online speculation, the upcoming romance has never been officially titled ‘Satrange'. The makers are expected to announce the film's title soon

Madhuri Dixit Nene has opened up about her early years of marriage with Dr Shriram Nene in the US, revealing that her husband was initially "shocked" by the scale of her stardom in India. Recalling their life in Denver after their 1999 wedding, Madhuri said, "For a long time, they didn't know who I was, I was Mrs Nene there." Speaking about her husband's reaction after moving to India, she shared, "He's even said in interviews ‘I knew she is an actor, I didn't know how big an actor she is!' When he came here initially, it was a shock."
