SS Rajamouli has revealed that Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, will traverse different worlds, time zones and mythology. "It is an adventure which travels through different worlds. It travels through Antarctica, Africa, and the city of Varanasi," he said. Speaking at the São Paulo International Film Festival, where he received the Leon Cakoff Career Award, the filmmaker added, "Everything is driven by the emotion of a father and son, and the love between a man and a woman."
After 20 films, Kriti Sanon is keen to move beyond the conventional âgood girl' image. On Kareena Kapoor Khan's chat show, What Women Want, Kriti said she was "bored of doing the good girl parts", where women were often portrayed as coy, shy, and needing to be rescued. "It is refreshing that people are now writing parts that are more real, more human," she said, adding that she enjoys exploring flawed characters who make morally questionable choices. She cited her role in Do Patti (2024) as a welcome change.
