A tragic road accident in Punjab's Jalandhar claimed the lives of two young men, including Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh's nephew, Vidit Olak. According to News 18, Vidit, along with one of his friends, was returning home after a birthday party in the early hours of Sunday, November 1, when their car met with a fatal accident.
Vidit's father, Dinesh, owns Punjabi music company Speed Records. The other deceased, Aarav Talwar, was the son of the owner of Pappy Sweets. The tragic news has left Honey Singh devastated. He has expressed his grief over his nephew's demise through an emotional Instagram story.
Taking to his Instagram, Honey Singh wrote, "It's a dark decade for me. The loss of my nephew is devastating. Bhole Nath, mehr mehr mehr @dineshauluck."
The accident occurred on a flyover near the Police Lines area, where the Volkswagen car carrying the two men crashed into a stationary tractor-trolley. The two were reportedly returning home after attending a friend's birthday party.
Baradari police station SHO Sahil Chaudhary said the police received information about the accident at around 3 am. He explained that the Municipal Corporation sanitation workers were carrying out cleaning work on the flyover and had parked the tractor-trolley there to collect garbage. The car, meanwhile, was heading from BMC Chowk towards BSF Chowk when it hit the stationary vehicle.
The SHO further confirmed that five people were inside the car. Olak and Talwar passed away; the other three occupants had already returned home.
Police personnel reached the scene following the alert and took the bodies into their custody. However, the families refused further legal proceedings, after which the bodies were handed over to them.
