Singer Vishal Dadlani recently reacted to reports claiming that he was sacked from Indian Idol 16 for his comments criticising the PM Modi government after the NEET paper leak controversy. For the unversed, the singer had earlier expressed his disappointment over the incident and highlighted the 'sad state' of the country, after which reports began doing the rounds that he had been removed from the singing reality show.
Reacting to the claims, Vishal took to his Instagram handle on Tuesday, May 26, to share a video and clarified that the reports were not true. He also took a dig at the rumours and wrote, "Remember not to trust anything you see online. There's a whole lot of manipulation going on. Keep fighting the good fight, and saying what needs to be said!"
In the video, Dadlani was seen pretending to cry before bursting into laughter on the sets of Indian Idol and saying, "Here I am, baby!" His reaction soon went viral, with many praising his candid response.
Earlier, sharing a video, Vishal slammed the NEET paper leak incident and expressed solidarity with candidates impacted by the alleged irregularities. He said, "Mai ye video isiliye bana raha hu, I just want to express my support and solidarity jin students ko iss NEET paper leak se takleef huyi hai. It's wrong ki har saal hota hai, it's even more wrong ki koi government agencies zimmedari nahi le rahi hain, even worse jo mantri vagera baithe huye hain jo keh rahe hain ki isme kya badi baat hai"
He added, "Jo power mai hain woh educated nahi hain. This is going to destroy India. Maano ya na maano, accha lage ya bura lage, sacch toh yahi hai. Please agar ho sake, elect better people, man. Acche logo ko, educated logo ko vote dijiye."
In the video, Vishal Dadlani also urged voters to look beyond divisions based on caste or religion while choosing leaders, saying, "Caste, creed, religion, inn sab cheezo se nikalke agar aapko apna future secure karna hai, iss desh ka future secure karna hai, we have to elect better people. Aise jahil gawaron ko please power mai mat daliye, chahe woh aapke jaat ke ho chahe woh aapke parivar ke ho, please don't vote for them. Bas ho gaya yaar. Kya ho raha hai iss desh ka bhai?"
