Punjabi singer-actor Jassie Gill in an exclusive interview with mid-day talks about his debut alongside Sonakshi Sinha in Happy Bhag Jayegi 2
Jassie Gill kicked-off his career as a musician, but discovered his love for acting soon after. After featuring in music videos, Gill made his acting debut with the Punjabi comedy, Mr & Mrs 420 (2014). He is now set to make his Bollywood debut with Sonakshi Sinha and Diana Penty-starrer Happy Bhag Jayegi 2. "I have worked hard to hone my acting skills," Gill tells mid-day, adding, "My hard work helped me bag Punjabi films, and now, a Hindi outing as well. I was elated when Mudassar Aziz [director] sir called me to discuss the script of the film."

Sharing the experience of filming with Sinha, Gill says, "Sonakshi is humble and focused. It feels like a dream to be working with her. She is supportive. Even Mudassar sir made me feel comfortable. He guided me like an elder brother." Like his contemporaries, Diljit Dosanjh and Gippy Grewal, Gill, too, wants to gain a strong foothold in Bollywood. "I will work hard and deliver," he says.
