The makers of Kala Hiran recently released the first-look teaser of the film amid the ongoing legal dispute with Salman Khan. Notably, the teaser was shared despite getting a notice from Salman Khan asking them not to share any promotional content of the movie.
The teaser shows that the makers have not used Salman Khan's name. The central character is called Ayaan Khan. However, the actor playing the lead role bears heavy resemblance to Salman. He is also seen behaving like the superstar and sports the same signature bracelet in the teaser.
The teaser stars Kashif Iqbal Khan as Ayaan Khan, along with Govind Namdeo, Kamlesh Sawant, Mukesh Tiwari and others.
Notably, a couple of weeks ago, producer Amit Jani announced a movie titled Kala Hiran. Later in an interview, he revealed that the movie is based on Salman's 1998 blackbuck poaching case. When the poster of the film was released earlier, Salman's team sent the makers a notice asking them to stop the shooting of Kala Hiran. In the notice, he also asked the makers not to publicise any promotional assets of the movie.
Earlier, the producer Amit Jani had shared a video stating that he had been receiving death threats and legal notices from Salman's team. He even tore the notice in one of the videos, stating that he is not answerable to them.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Salman has moved to the Delhi High Court seeking an urgent interim stay on the production, promotion, and release of Kala Hiran. The actor reportedly filed the plea alleging that the film is a violation of his personality and publicity rights.
As per a India Today report, actor Salman Khan approached the Delhi High Court seeking an immediate stay on the production, promotion, and release of the film Kala Hiran: Battle for Legacy, alleging that it violates his personality and publicity rights.
In his plea, Salman Khan also allegedly claimed that the film is inspired by the 1998 blackbuck case involving him and that its posters, teaser, and promotional material clearly identify him. The actor also claimed that the makers used a lookalike wearing his signature bracelet and promoted the project using his name for commercial gain.
