Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's Don 3, actress and politician Kangana Ranaut extended her support to Ranveer Singh. The actress reacted to the non-cooperative directive issued against the actor, saying it does not matter.
At the trailer launch event of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, Kangana Ranaut was asked about the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) allegedly banning Ranveer over his exit from Don 3. Responding to the question, she said, "You are asking me, I have been banned by everybody," leaving everyone in attendance laughing.
Kangana added, "Main ye kehna chahungi ki jab aapki haisiyat badhti hai to aapke dushman bhi badhte hain (I would like to say that when your stature grows, your enemies grow as well)." She further added how it is impossible for a person's stature to grow without attracting critics and adversaries along the way.
Addressing Ranveer's current situation, Kangana shared some advice saying, "Ranveer Singh ko ye sochna chahiye ki unki kya haisiyat ki unke itne dushman hain. (Ranveer Singh must think of his worth to have so many enemies)" She went on to claim, "You can't have a smooth walk always."
Drawing comparisons from her own experiences, Kangana expressed that things would eventually work out. She said, "Everything is going to be fine eventually." Talking of her own journey, the actress added, "Mere sath to itna hua hai and look today I am doing well. Meri bhi achi gadi chal hi rahi hai. Kuch naahi fark padta. (I have faced a lot and still I am doing well. It does not matter)"
Ranveer Singh reportedly exited the highly anticipated Don 3 shortly before production was set to begin. The makers alleged significant financial losses due to his exit. Following a complaint by the producers, FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer.
Following the directive, Ranveer's spokesperson issued a statement which read, "Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect."
