Kartik Aaryan is back to work! Actor resumes Anurag Basu's next after knee surgery

Days after Kartik Aaryan underwent knee surgery, work has come calling. We've heard that the actor has returned to the set of Anurag Basu's yet-untitled romantic drama that also stars Sreeleela. According to sources, Aaryan is shooting at Film City in Goregaon, with the director having lined up his close-up shots that won't demand much movement of the actor.

"Some portions of Kartik were still pending. With the movie now in its last leg, the actor and Anurag didn't want to delay filming them any further. So, the team worked around his recovery plan and made it possible for him to come in and shoot," revealed a source from the unit.

The actor sustained a knee injury in mid-August while shooting an action sequence for Kabir Khan's sports drama, and was recovering at home after the surgery. But it was necessary to face the camera for Basu's project since it is close to the finish line.

The source elaborated, "Since the shoot is almost done, everyone wanted to ensure that the remaining work was completed this month. If things go as planned, Anurag will call it a wrap by August-end."
