Kriti Sanon's old message for Ranveer Singh goes viral after her Don 3 casting; 'Do you remember what you told me?'

Be it her National Award-winning performance in Mimi or delivering back-to-back box office successes across genres, she is redefining what stardom means as a self-made actor in the industry. Adding another feather to her cap is her recent casting. The actress was recently confirmed to be cast opposite Ranveer Singh in the ambitious project Don 3. Amid the latest announcement, an old video of the actress from an award ceremony has gone viral for its link to Ranveer Singh.

Kriti Sanon's old statement resurfaces

Years ago, when Kriti bagged the award of Best Actress for Mimi, she gave a winning speech which is now going viral. Emotionally, she said, "To any boy and any girl who is being told ki ‘bohot bada sapna hai… itne bade sapne matt dekho, pure nahi hote hai,' ya ‘contacts ke bina yaha pe kuch nahi hota hai' - it doesn't matter where you come from. It doesn't matter who your parents are, what your surname is. It might take you a little longer - it took me 8 years - it might take you a little longer. The journey might be a little tougher. Just believe in yourself and keep working. Keep getting better at what you do. Keep learning, and I promise you will get there. And when you do, it will be worth it because it will be your journey. She concluded the speech with one line that has now caught the attention of the fans. Addressing the Dhuradhar star, she said, "Ranveer Singh, do you remember what you told me? Jab tu Best Actress aur main Best Actor hoga na… tab saath mein kaam karenge!" With Don 3 featuring Ranveer and Kriti together for the first time, it seems like her statement has come full circle.

Earlier Kiara Advani had been roped in alongside Ranveer in Don 3. However, after announcing her pregnancy, the actress had to back out of the project. Since then, rumours were rife that Kriti could be onboarded as the leading lady in Don 3. Recently, the makers officially confirmed the news.

In a press release, they said, "Farhan Akhtar is also preparing for his next directorial venture, Don 3, which is expected to go on floors in January 2026. The film will feature Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon in leading roles." They, however, added, "Casting for the film is underway, with the makers reportedly in talks with a top A-list actor to take on the intense antagonist role."

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon will next be seen in Tere Ishk Mein alongside Dhanush. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is set to star in the highly anticipated Dhurandhar.
