Mirzapur actor Satendra Soni has alleged that he was assaulted and forcibly taken away by members of the production team of the upcoming film Ped Palki after repeatedly asking for his pending payment. The actor shared an emotional video on social media, claiming he was physically attacked and humiliated while trying to recover his dues.
In the video, Soni broke down as he recounted the alleged incident, saying, "Gaadi mein ghaseetkar bitha diya. Mujhe maara gaya. Maine sirf apne paise maange the." He claimed he had been requesting the makers to clear his outstanding payment for several months but received no response.
According to Soni, the situation escalated when he visited the film's set to seek payment. He alleged that instead of addressing his concerns, members of the production team assaulted him and forced him into a vehicle. "Main sirf apni mehnat ki kamai maang raha tha. Mujhe is tarah treat kiya gaya jaise maine koi jurm kar diya ho," he said.
The actor further claimed that the incident left him emotionally shattered. Fighting back tears in the video, he appealed to the film industry and authorities for support, stating that no artist should have to endure such treatment for asking to be paid for their work.
Soni also alleged that despite repeated follow-ups over the past few months, his remuneration remained unpaid. He urged production houses to respect artists and technicians by ensuring timely payments, adding that financial insecurity continues to be a major issue for many performers working in the entertainment industry.
The allegations have sparked widespread discussion on social media, with several users expressing concern over the treatment of actors and calling for a fair investigation into the matter. However, the claims made by Soni have not been independently verified.
At the time of writing, the makers of Ped Palki have not issued an official statement responding to the actor's allegations. It also remains unclear whether Soni has filed a formal police complaint regarding the alleged assault and non-payment.
As the video continues to circulate online, the controversy has once again brought attention to concerns surrounding payment disputes and workplace conduct in the film industry. Further details are awaited as the matter develops and the production team responds to the allegations. The actor was also a part of Laapataa Ladies.
