With just weeks to go before Mirzapur: The Movie hits theatres, the makers have dropped the first song from the film, Do Numbari, giving fans another glimpse into the gritty world of the much-loved franchise. The high-energy track has been composed, written and sung by Haryanvi music sensation Dhanda Nyoliwala, who also makes his Bollywood debut with the number.

Mirzapur: The Movie first song out

The song has also created another milestone for Excel Entertainment, as Do Numbari becomes the first release under the banner's newly launched music label, Excel Music. Known for his viral Haryanvi tracks and commanding stage presence, Dhanda brings his signature style to the Mirzapur universe, adding a raw and energetic flavour that complements the franchise's rugged identity.

The music video captures the unapologetically intense vibe associated with Mirzapur, offering stylised visuals and a pulse-pounding soundtrack while teasing the larger conflicts awaiting audiences on the big screen. The makers unveiled the song on social media, officially kickstarting the film's promotional campaign ahead of its theatrical release.

Back to Mirzapur

Unlike the web series, Mirzapur: The Movie takes viewers back to the timeline of the first season, reuniting several of the franchise's most beloved characters. Ali Fazal returns as Guddu Pandit, while Divyenndu reprises his fan-favourite role as Munna Bhaiya alongside Pankaj Tripathi's feared Kaleen Bhaiya.

The film also boasts an ensemble cast featuring Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Mohitt Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Shweta Tripathi, Sonal S. Chauhan, Anangsha Biswas, Shaji Chaudhary, Satendra Soni, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the film is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Mirzapur: The Movie is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on September 4, 2026, in Hindi and Telugu.

With Do Numbari now out, the makers have begun building momentum for what is expected to be one of the year's biggest theatrical adaptations of an Indian streaming franchise. The track not only introduces a fresh musical voice to Bollywood but also marks the beginning of Mirzapur: The Movie's journey to the big screen.
