For Mrunal Thakur, one of the joys of being an actor is to play characters whose actions aren't easy to discern. She found that in Pooja Meri Jaan, where she plays the titular character who is at the receiving end of a guy's obsession.

"The story makes you question the people, the situation, and even your own understanding of what is right and wrong. As an actor, I found that exciting. I love characters who reveal themselves slowly," shared the actor.

Navjot Gulati's directorial feature also stars Huma Qureshi and Vikram Singh Chauhan. It wasn't the nuances alone that drew Thakur to her part. The actor added, "I connected deeply with Pooja's emotional vulnerability. She is trying to understand what is happening around her while also trying to [get a grip] on herself."
