The makers of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's next titled Spirit have cleared the air around the film's release date. The makers of Prabhas and Triptii Dimri-starrer have confirmed that the film will be released on March 5 as scheduled. Earlier, it was speculated that the film will push its release date after Salman Khan locked Eid 2027 for his next with Nayanthara.
On Wednesday, makers of Spirit clarified that they will be releasing their film on the earlier announced date of March 5. Mounted on a massive scale and progressing as planned, Spirit continues to shape up as one of the most anticipated cinematic events on the horizon. Fronted by superstar Prabhas, the film brings together producer Bhushan Kumar and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga following the historic success of Animal.
Also starring Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi, and introducing Aishwarya Desai, Spirit is being crafted as a large-scale pan-world entertainer and is set to release in 8 languages.
It must be noted that while Spirit marks the filmmaker's first professional association with Prabhas. He has worked with Triptii in Animal, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
Spirit went on the floor in November 2025. The mahurat ceremony was attended by several big names from the entertainment industry, including megastar Chiranjeevi, who was part of the event as a special guest.
Marking Prabhas' birthday on October 23, the makers also released a promotional teaser from the movie, titled Sound Story, using Prakash Raj and Prabhas' voices to introduce the film's world. The teaser offers an intriguing glimpse into Prakash Raj's character - a strict, no-nonsense IPS officer known for his discipline and dominance. The highlight of the clip comes when Prabhas says in his intense style, "Mr Superintendent, bachpan se meri ek buri aadat hai."
Apart from Prabhas and Triptii, the project will also see Prakash Raj, Vivek Oberoi and Kanchana as part of the ancillary cast. Backed by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is set to be a grand-scale pan-world entertainer. The makers have so far released posters featuring Prabhas, Triptii and Vivek Oberoi.
