Deepika Padukone recently announced that she is all set to embrace motherhood for the second time. The news comes at a time when she is shooting for two crucial films - Raaka and King. While reports stated that she is adhering to tight timelines and is even shooting intense sequences, there were claims that Deepika's scenes might get reduced in Raaka. However, the film's team has now set the record straight.
In a statement issued to The Times of India, they confirmed, "Everything is moving as planned. Deepika Padukone plays a crucial role in Raaka, and the shoot is unfolding seamlessly with great energy on set."
Previously, it was reported that Deepika would continue working amid her pregnancy. As per Hindustan Times' report, "Amidst her pregnancy, Deepika Padukone is shooting intense action sequences for Raaka and will continue to shoot for the film throughout her pregnancy."
Talking about Raaka, the collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee is one of the most awaited. The film is reported to be a mix of fantasy and action, with suggestions of a science fiction angle.
Coming back to Deepika Padukone, the actress shot an action sequence for Singham Again during her first pregnancy. Besides Raaka, the actress also has Shah Rukh Khan's King in the pipeline. The actioner is slated to release in December this year. It has an ensemble cast including Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, Suhana Khan, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Manoj Pahwa, and Saurabh Shukla, to name a few.
Deepika and Ranveer announced the second pregnancy on April 19 and took social media by storm. The couple shared a sweet post featuring their daughter, Dua, holding a positive pregnancy test. The post sparked excitement among fans and celebrities alike, with several industry names extending their best wishes to the couple in the comments. Notably, the happy news also comes at a time when Ranveer is basking in the success of the Dhurandhar franchise.
Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in Italy in 2018. Their wedding included ceremonies that honoured both their Konkani and Sindhi traditions. The couple announced that they were expecting their first child in February 2024, following which they welcomed their daughter, Dua, in September that year. After keeping their child away from the public eye, the star couple introduced her to fans on Diwali, when they revealed her name.
