He says, "I had researched it and had consulted friends who are Christian about the use of the word. The song was a sensation when it was released in the South a couple of years ago.

I am concerned about the sentiments of all those who appear to be hurt." However, this doesn't mean that he has conceded to the demands to eliminate the word from the track.
