Rajkummar Rao`s Maalik
Rajkummar Rao is all set to arrive on the big screen in a never-seen-before avatar in Maalik. The actor plays a gangster in this action thriller, which will show the audience a side of him that has never been explored before. Donning a rugged look, Rajkummar will be embracing the "angry young man" character in the film, which features model and actress Manushi Chhillar as the female lead. The film has already generated considerable buzz among the audience. And now, ahead of its release on July 11, the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has cleared the film with zero cuts, giving it an A-rating.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently completed the censor process for Maalik. According to the censor's suggestion, no cuts were made in the film. However, two dialogues have been modified as per the instructions of the CBFC. Although specific details were not disclosed, a few changes have been circulating.
According to reports, one particular dialogue, "Lallan ghar chod dega tujhe", was replaced at the suggestion of the Examining Committee (EC). Although the dialogue itself appears non-offensive, the context of it within the film could be a reason for replacement. Interestingly, the CBFC did not ask for any cuts to be made to the visual content. The audience will be able to enjoy the filmmakers' original vision for the high-octane action film.
Additionally, Maalik was granted an âA' certificate by the censor board. This means that it is suitable for adult audiences. The film's runtime has been finalised as 152.17 minutes, which translates to approximately 2 hours, 32 minutes, and 17 seconds.
In Maalik, Rajkummar Rao will show his raw emotion, intense action, in a socially relevant storyline. The film is directed by Pulkit and features an ensemble cast including Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, Huma Qureshi, Swanand Kirkire, and Saurabh Shukla. Maalik is all set for a theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
In other news, Rajkummar Rao also recently announced that he and his wife, Patralekhaa, are expecting their first child together.
