Veteran actor Ramakant Daayama died on May 26, 2026, leaving the industry mourning. Now, days after his death, his daughter and actor Yashaswini Dayama has penned an emotional note on social media, thanking friends, family and fans for supporting the bereaved family in the tough times.
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Yashaswini Dayama took to Instagram to share an emotional note after her father's passing. She shared a family picture and penned a heart-touching note in the caption, which read, "Been really dreading having to make this post⦠or rather any post. Felt like I had to be a certain kind of ready and make a heartfelt tribute⦠and we're not there yet (sic)."
The actress further added, "But thought I must express the immense gratitude my family and I feel for all the love and memories you have shared of dad. Thank you for recognising this Rockstar (sic)."
Many friends from the industry offered their support and kind words in the comments. TV actor Asha Negi wrote, "I had the privilege of working with him on my very first show. For a girl who had just arrived from a small town, still finding her footing, his kindness and warmth meant more than I can put into words. Ramakant Daayama died on May 26, 2026 after being hospitalised. Actress Shubhangi Latkar, a good friend of the actor, took to her social media account to confirm his demise and mourn the loss, remembering him as someone full of life, warmth and positivity.
In the video shared by Shubhangi, Ramakant Daayama was seen enjoying his moments with his friends at a get-together. He was seen singing, dancing, laughing and having a gala time with friends. Shubhangi recalled the actor as someone who had a vibrant personality. Sharing the post, Shubhangi wrote, "Today, we lost a truly beautiful soul⦠and I am simply speechless."
Ramakant Daayama was a part of many films, television shows and theatre productions. Some of his notable works included Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Chak De! India, Dhanak, and various acclaimed stage productions.
