Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is undoubtedly one of the biggest cinematic spectacles releasing this year. As anticipation builds, the makers recently shared a poster revealing the trailer release date for Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi's film. Ahead of the trailer launch on July 24, fresh details about its runtime have surfaced, hinting that the theatrical version may feature extra footage.
The CBFC website currently lists two versions of the trailer. While one, titled 'Trailer - Ramayana 3D', has a runtime of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, the other, titled 'Theatrical Trailer - Ramayana 3D', runs for exactly 4 minutes. It remains to be seen whether the online version will offer fans 15 seconds of additional footage or if it will be reserved for audiences watching it on the big screen.
On July 11, the makers announced that they are set to unveil the film's trailer to audiences worldwide on July 24, 2026. Taking to their social media pages, they shared a poster that read, "From Bharat to the World. For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations through its timeless ideals of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Now, it begins a new journey. One of Bharat's greatest civilisational epics, presented to the world, at a scale never attempted before in Indian cinema. THE RAMAYANA TRAILER PREMIERES WORLDWIDE ON 24TH JULY."
A few days ago, mid-day reported that director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are exploring a promotional campaign for Ramayana: Part 1 in China ahead of the magnum opus's release. This signals renewed efforts to tap into a market that has largely remained shut to Bollywood since 2020. According to sources, discussions are underway with Chinese exhibitors and distributors for a four-day promotional tour led by Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi.
Drawing inspiration from one of the most celebrated Indian epics of all time, Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol portrays Hanuman, while Ravi Dubey steps into the role of Lakshman.
Ramayana will release worldwide in two parts: Part 1 during Diwali 2026 and Part 2 during Diwali 2027.
