Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited Ramayana: Part 1 is all set for a grand release worldwide in November. Now the makers have revealed that the mythological epic will hit theatres in Australia a day before its official release date worldwide.
According to the latest update from Sony Pictures Australia, Ramayana Part 1 will release in Australian cinemas on November 5, 2026. While sharing the trailer on X, they captioned it, "An epic journey unlike anything seen before. Watch the official trailer for #Ramayana, coming to Australian cinemas November 5."
According to reports, the makers have locked a new release date for the Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash-starrer to avoid the clash with the highly anticipated Godzilla Minus Zero on November 6. It could be an advantage for Ramayana to start its theatrical run before âGodzilla Minus Zero' arrives, grasping an extended window at the box office to churn in more earnings.
Godzilla Minus Zero follows the global success of the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One, which became a worldwide hit and earned the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. The upcoming sequel returns to post-war Japan and stars Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe reprising their roles.
It is slated to release in Japan on November 3, followed by its global debut on November 6.
Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Ramayana: Part 1 will release worldwide on November 6, followed by its release in India on November 8, coinciding with Diwali.
The film stars an ensemble cast, including Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The second instalment will be released during Diwali 2027.
