Several journalists who attended the Los Angeles screening took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their reviews of Ramayana, praising the film. One critic wrote on X, "Yes, Ramayana Rise of a Legend has a post-credit scene. And the post-credit scene teases that one iconic character that you've all been anticipating. You know who I'm talkin' about. Can't wait for the sequel in 2028."

Following the critic's post, several fans took to the comments section to speculate that the mystery character could be Lord Hanuman, with many suggesting that Sunny Deol might be introduced. One user wrote, "It's probably the legend Hanuman," while another commented, "Theatres are going to explode. Pawan Putra is coming."

Interestingly, another viewer revealed that the character is Lord Hanuman, who will be essayed by Sunny Deol.

At the film's Pratham Sankalp event in New Delhi, Sunny Deol got emotional about playing Hanuman and said, "To tell you the truth, I have done only a little work on the film so far. I still have a long way to go. I am grateful that I received the opportunity to play Hanuman ji. I will make every possible effort to portray him in the right way."

"Playing Hanuman ji is not easy," Sunny added. "But I know I will enjoy it immensely. He is playful, innocent and powerful. He is loved by everyone, and above all, he is a devotee of Lord Ram."
