Actor Shahid Kapoor is set to share some candid family moments with younger brother Ishaan Khatter and wife Mira Rajput on The Great Indian Kapil Show. The trio will appear on Kapil Sharma's Netflix comedy show for a special Diwali episode, with a promo released by the makers on Wednesday, October 28, offering a glimpse into their fun-filled conversation.
Among the anecdotes shared during the episode is Shahid's childhood memory of changing Ishaan's diapers, with the actor revealing that his younger brother has promised to return the favour when they grow older.
During the conversation, Shahid recalled how their roles could be reversed as they grow older. "When I was a kid, I changed his diapers. And in old age, he is saying that he will change mine," the actor said, leaving room for some light-hearted sibling banter.
The promo offers a glimpse into the brothers' close relationship, which they have occasionally shared with audiences through social media posts and public appearances. Their appearance on the show promises more such personal anecdotes, with the Diwali special bringing family stories and comedy together.
Shahid also revisited memories from his film career, recalling Mira's reaction after watching his 2016 film Udta Punjab. "When Udta Punjab was complete, they call you in the editing room and show you the film. She was sitting next to me. When the film was over, she was sitting on the other side of the sofa," Shahid said.
Kapil Sharma was quick to turn the anecdote into a punchline, joking about Mira's decision to marry Shahid despite his intense on-screen roles. "Had she seen Kabir Singh and got married, she would have run away," the comedian quipped.
The episode also touches upon Shahid's life as a father, with actor Archana Puran Singh asking him whether he is an indulgent parent. Mira offered a playful assessment of her husband's approach to raising their children, saying, "He spoils a lot, but not in a bad way."
Shahid and Mira tied the knot in Delhi in 2015. The couple welcomed their daughter, Misha, in 2016, followed by their son, Zain, in September 2018.
The Diwali episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show brings together the family for a conversation that moves between childhood memories, married life and parenting, with Shahid and Ishaan's sibling banter adding to the entertainment.
