Saiyami Kher turns Mumbai guide for Manchester United players

Last week, Manchester United players Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, and Andre Onana visited India for a brand endorsement shoot. On May 30, Saiyami Kher traded her role of an actor to become a tour guide for the football stars. After the trio shot for the commercial at Mukesh Mills in Colaba, the actor decided to give them a tour of Mumbai. No prizes for guessing that their first stop was a football ground at Nariman Point. "After the brand shoot, we went to the Cooperage Football Ground, where the players played football with the kids. We then had lovely Parsi food at Jimmy Boy - dhansak, berry pulao, and of course, caramel custard! In the evening, there was a meet-and-greet event at Trident," shares Kher.

The actor is known for her athletic streak. Kher not only keenly follows cricket and tennis, but also participates in marathons, including the Ironman 70.3 Championship. Meeting the football stars then gave her a peek into their rigour and dedication. She says, "I have always been an admirer of their commitment to the game and the discipline it takes to be at the top of their sport. Just the night before, they played a match, and yet they were here, full of energy and positivity! We talked about their routines, and how they keep themselves motivated during the off-season. Diogo and I chatted about diving, films, and the craze for football and cricket in India."
