Salman Khan
Salman Khan's upcoming superhero film, directed by Raj & DK and backed by Mythri Movie Makers, is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic spectacles in Indian cinema. Recently, reports also suggested that Kareena Kapoor Khan may join the project as the female lead. Ever since the announcement of Salman Khan teaming up with Raj & DK for the ambitious superhero film, the project has generated massive buzz across the industry. Now, another exciting update has emerged: globally acclaimed VFX studio Weta FX is reportedly in talks to handle the film's visual effects.
According to an independent industry source, "The renowned VFX company Weta FX is currently in discussions to take charge of the visual effects for Raj & DK's upcoming superhero film starring Salman Khan. The studio is known for delivering top-tier work on global projects like The Avengers, The Batman, The Last of Us, and Moon Knight, hinting at the film's massive visual scale."
The makers are clearly aiming big, with a strong focus on creating a globally appealing cinematic experience. If the collaboration materialises, it could take the project's scale and visual ambition to an entirely new level.
As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, sources claim, "Salman Khan will be seen as a superhero who wants to hang up his cape and retire from saving the world, having grown weary of doing the same thing on repeat. But circumstances refuse to let him live in peace and keep pulling him back into action time and again, eventually pushing him into a larger conflict. The narrative blends broad comedy with superhero beats - essentially, a high-concept superhero comedy."
With Raj & DK having delivered acclaimed titles like The Family Man, Farzi, and Citadel: Honey Bunny, their collaboration with Salman Khan is already being seen as one of the most exciting projects in Indian entertainment.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan will next be seen in the film Battle of Galwan co-starring Chitrangda Singh. The film will be released later this year. The makers are yet to announce the release date.
