A day after Laapataa Ladies (2024) actor Satendra Soni accused filmmaker Pushpendra Singh of alleged non-payment of dues and physical intimidation during the shoot of Pedh Palki, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has stepped in. The body has not only assured the actor of receiving his pending fees, but also written to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, urging for an FIR against Singh.

AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta revealed to mid-day that Singh has been a "repeat offender". He said, "Pushpendra Singh is not answering our calls. Such producers should be blacklisted. We have urged the state government to ensure strict action."

Satendra Soni was also seen in ‘Doctor G', ‘Bawaal', and stars in the upcoming ‘Mirzapur: The Movie'

In an Instagram video, Soni said that he received R50,000 before reporting for Pedh Palki's shoot in Madhya Pradesh. He alleged that when he asked for his remaining payment after completing eight days of work, he was verbally abused by the director and told to vacate his hotel room immediately. He also claimed that Singh not only beat him up, but also threatened to kill him.
