Shah Rukh Khan holds pregnant Deepika Padukone's hand as they climb stairs in new viral video from King sets - watch

Days after a picture of Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan from the sets of King went viral, now a video of the leading pair from their Cape Town shoot is going viral on the internet. Notably, Deepika Padukone, who recently announced her second pregnancy, is currently filming for King with Shah Rukh Khan in South Africa.

In the now viral video, SRK is seen helping Deepika as they walk up the stairs, in what appears to be a moment between takes. Shah Rukh Khan is seen dressed in a black shirt and trousers, while Deepika is wearing a bright orange flowy top and multi-coloured trouser. The actor pauses mid-step, turns back towards her and offers his hand. Deepika takes his hand and the two continue up the stairs together.

The candid clip has drawn attention online for SRK's sweet and protective gesture towards his co-star and dear friend.

Earlier leaked images from King sets

Notably, the video surfaced soon after images from the South Africa schedule of the film were leaked online. The pictures showed Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika shooting an elaborate sequence, fuelling speculation around the scene.

In the images, Deepika was seen in a brown Bohemian kaftaan outfit, while Shah Rukh Khan wore a striped white-and-blue shirt with blue trousers. Following the leak, director Siddharth Anand condemned the leak, urging fans not to share the images online.

Siddharth shared a statement on social media, which read, "Request to all the fans. Please do not post or circulate any leaked multimedia from the sets of King. The team is working round the clock to ensure the best cinematic experience for everyone. Let us wait for the surprise on the big screen and for the assets to be revealed as the team of King originally intends to. Thank you for your love, support and cooperation (sic)."

Along with SRK and Deepika, King also stars Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji in pivotal roles. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, the film will show Shah Rukh Khan as a veteran assassin in a gritty underworld, while Suhana plays his protege. The film is scheduled to release on Christmas 2026.
