Shatrughan Sinha claims BJP IT cell manufactured trolling against daughter Sonakshi Sinha

Several celebrities have voiced their support for the student protests, with Sonakshi Sinha also speaking out against the violence. However, she faced trolling for allegedly not raising her voice for Jharkhand students. Now, her father, Shatrughan Sinha, has defended her, alleging that the trolling was manufactured by the IT cell.

Shatrughan Sinha addressed the issue in a recent conversation and said that Sonakshi had, in fact, shown "quite strong support" for the students of Jharkhand a few days ago. The actor was asked whether his daughter plans to join politics, to which he said, "I can't say. Earlier, I used to ask. I can only say she is the most worthy daughter of a worthy father."

During the conversation with ABP News, the veteran actor addressed the trolling against the actress and blamed the IT cell for manufacturing it. He said in Hindi, "Many people who troll her and try to create ruckus around her, they are paid trolls. The IT cell that our friends have, the BJP, they are doing it and also those who follow their policies. This trolling is manufactured, they are paid trolls, they don't even know what to say... It is written and given to them. But Sonakshi has done the right thing by saying that she doesn't even look at trolls. Bahut jaan hai usmein (She is very strong)."

Apart from this, Sonakshi has time and again been trolled over her interfaith wedding with Zaheer Iqbal. Backing her, Shatrughan clarified that there is no rift between the families and that the couple is made for each other. He had said, "Everything is fine. We are very happy. Sonakshi is married; they both seem made for each other."

When Sonakshi condemned violence

Sonakshi Sinha shared a series of visuals from the July 20 protest in New Delhi and criticised the violence meted out to the youth. However, Instagram appeared to have limited the post's visibility. The shadowban comes amid broader complaints from actors and public figures who have alleged that politically sensitive posts on Instagram face reduced visibility or content warnings.

On the work front, Sonakshi was last seen in System with Jyotika. The actress essayed the role of a lawyer who is challenged by her father to carve her own niche.
