The last day ofu00a0WILFW saw crowds coming in by the droves
If Aristotle was alive and had attended Tarun Tahiliani's grand finale on the final day of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week on Wednesday, he would have patted the designer's back. Tahiliani's theme, The New Democrazy, was indeed about celebrating the kind of freedom the Greek philosopher had advocated.

Cleverly inspired by the diversity of our country, silk chiffons, georgettes and satin dominated the fabrics. And for those missing the stars in the past few days, there was little relief as Chitrangada Singh strutted down the ramp followed by Shilpa Shetty who ended the show with the signature flirtatious gait of a Bollywood Diva, walking away from the heartbroken camerapersons only to walk back again to their delight. And kudos to the 42 Manganiar musicians who kept the mood electric with their Duma dum mast qalander number.

Earlier in the day, Virtues by Ashish, Viral and Vikrant took the audience by storm with their Gypsy Masala creation. Polka dots, mustard yellows, indigo blues, crimson reds, henna green and white showed off a Gypsy mood. Reynu Tandon's show was inspired by Sex and the City whereu00a0 resort met safari. There were shift dresses, kaftans, peasant skirts and frocks in muted beige and shimmery golds.
Anita Dongre's 1950s inspired Grassroot impressed with its wearability factor. She had dresses, shorts and tops in bright summery hues like yellows, blues , pinks and whites.
