Suresh Triveni and Aditya Rawal
Filmmaker Suresh Triveni recently spoke about working with Aditya Rawal, recalling how he first discovered the young actor during the pandemic while watching Bamfaad. Reflecting on Rawal's evolving journey as both an actor and a writer, Suresh Triveni highlighted the qualities that make him stand out among the new generation of performers.
"I first saw Aditya Rawal in Bamfaad during the COVID pandemic. I was immediately struck by his presence in front of the camera. When I met him, I discovered he was a writer as well. I was working on Jalsa at the time, and we began developing a screenplay in parallel based on one of his ideas. From day one, I was certain that I wanted to collaborate with him on something," Triveni shared.
The director further spoke about Rawal's work ethic and creative temperament while collaborating on projects including the recently released Prime Video film Subedaar. "He is one of the most sincere team players I have worked with. Whether as a writer or an actor, it is his discipline and maturity that sets him apart. He is a chameleon when it comes to adapting to characters. A mind full of questions, he is vocal and yet remarkably quiet and shy at the same time," he said. With such strong creative synergy already established, industry watchers believe the collaboration between Suresh Triveni and Aditya Rawal could continue to evolve, potentially leading to more ambitious, character-driven stories in the years ahead.
A gritty and emotionally charged action-drama, Subedaar follows Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a retired soldier whose quiet civilian life is disrupted by a reckless act. Forced to step back into a world of chaos, he must confront crime, corruption, and moral conflict to protect his family and reclaim his honour. Directed by Suresh Triveni, Subedaar is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor, and Triveni.
The movie also stars Radhikka Madan alongside Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik, Mona Singh, and Khushboo Sundar in pivotal roles.
Suresh Triveni is also set for his upcoming film Maa Behen, starring Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit, which forms part of Netflix's upcoming slate. With momentum building around the filmmaker's current and upcoming projects, the possibility of him and Aditya Rawal eventually bringing their parallel screenplay idea to life only adds to the intrigue around what the filmmaker might explore next.
