Swara Bhaskar says that she is a greedy actor. The pretty lady who came into limelight with Tanu Weds Manu was recently seen in the film Aurangzeb.

In a short interview with CS, Swara talks about films, acting and her idols in Bollywood:

So far, so good
I had a great experience working with Atul Sabharwal, the director of Aurangzeb. The role was quite challenging, as I had to exercise a lot of restraint. The fact that Atul is a hard taskmaster made it easier for me. My next film, which also has Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor in it is a love story, and I play an over-the-top character in it. I am glad that I am getting work from top production houses in such a short time.

Versatile leanings
I would say that I am hungry for good roles. My interest lies in multi-layered characters, which give me an opportunity to explore my strengths. The length of a role is immaterial. I am proud to have got a chance to act with veterans like Farooque Shaikh and Deepti Naval in Listen Amaya. Even in Aurangzeb, the fine ensemble cast kept me on my toes.

Theatre background
Coming from a theatre background surely helps as directors know that you have the training and understanding to execute a character. But Bollywood is undoubtedly the best platform to showcase your talent to the world at large. Though I haven't had time to do much theatre since I got into Bollywood, I do keep travelling with my group to do stage shows, street plays, etc as and when I get the time.

My favourites
I feel that Amitabh Bachchan is an absolute legend. Irrfan is amazing. I enjoy the unbridled energy of Shah Rukh Khan and the effortlessness of Ranbir Kapoor. AmongSS actresses, u00a0I like Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukherji and Madhubala.
