Prime Video today unveiled the trailer of its upcoming Original movie, System, a gripping courtroom thriller that challenges a system where power defines the truth. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and produced by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, and Smitha Baliga, System captures the universal themes of ambition, revenge, fight for justice, and moral ethics.
System will premiere on Prime Video in Hindi, across India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide on May 22.
The trailer opens with Neha, a determined young lawyer played, taking on a tough challenge from her father to be worthy of a partnership in his firm. To pull it off, she recruits Sarika - a street-smart courtroom stenographer, who secretly harbors motives of her own. What follows is a fast-moving glimpse into intense courtroom battles, messy relationships, and some powerful moments.
Hard-hitting dialogues like "Ameeri ke shor mein gareeb ki awaaz kho jaati hai" cut straight to the core conflict, and viewers are left to wonder, in a System where influence can outweigh truth, has power killed justice or does it still stand a chance?
Written by Harman Baweja, Arun Sukumar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Tasneem Lokhandwala, and Akshat Ghildial, the film features Sonakshi Sinha, Jyotika, and Ashutosh Gowariker in lead roles, supported by Preeti Agarwal, Addinath Kothare, Aashriya Mishra, Gaurav Pandey, and Sayandeep Sengupta in pivotal roles.
Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the director and co-writer of System shares, "I believe there are innumerable stories that surround us but bringing them to life on screen authentically and creatively, is tough. I love to challenge myself and that's why System came into existence."
