War Box Office: The action-drama inches towards Rs 250 crore

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's War has held its own at the box office and positive word of mouth has helped the film rake in the moolah day after day. On its second Friday, War has managed to collect Rs 7.60 crore nett despite it being a working day. The total collections now stand at an incredible Rs 245.95 crore nett after 10 days.

Produced by YRF, War has been receiving a lot of love and appreciation from critics and audiences alike. The film is touted to be an action spectacle and a fascinating story with countless twists and turns to keep you on your toes.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to confirm the box office collection of War. He wrote, "#War continues its dominance... Will continue to rule BO till #Diwali [#HF4]... Expect solid numbers over the weekend... Marching victoriously towards Rs 300 cr... #War [#Hindi; Week 2] Fri 7.10 cr. Total: Rs 235.60 cr. Including #Tamil + #Telugu: Rs 245.95 cr. #India biz."

On its opening day, War created history as it collected Rs 53.35 crore nett - the biggest ever opening for a Hindi film. Joaquin Phoenix' Joker has also been doing fairly decent business in India.

Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Joker - released alongside two major #Indian films - has done excellent biz... Released in #English only and targeted at metros... Wed 5.15 cr, Thu 3.35 cr, Fri 3.65 cr, Sat 5.25 cr, Sun 5.60 cr, Mon 4.35 cr, Tue 5.35 cr. Total: Rs 32.70 cr NBOC. #India biz."
