A viral video linked to the celebrations following Paris Saint-Germain's UEFA Champions League triumph has sparked intense debate online, with social media users claiming that the young man seen in the footage is the son of renowned Algerian singer Khaled. The clip, which has rapidly circulated across multiple platforms, has become the centre of controversy amid reports of unrest and vandalism in parts of Paris following PSG's historic victory.
According to online claims, the individual in the video was allegedly involved in vandalising a statue of Joan of Arc during the post-match celebrations. The footage shows a young man celebrating enthusiastically as crowds gathered in the French capital. However, despite the widespread speculation, there has been no official confirmation establishing his identity or verifying that he is related to Khaled.
The allegations quickly gained traction on X (formerly Twitter), where users began sharing screenshots and clips alongside claims linking the individual to the celebrated singer. Several posts accused the young man of disrespecting a historic French monument, while others expressed disappointment over the alleged behaviour. As the video spread, it generated thousands of reactions and comments from users debating both the incident and the unverified identity claims.
The controversy emerged against the backdrop of large-scale celebrations in Paris after PSG secured the Champions League title. While many supporters marked the occasion peacefully, reports indicated that some areas witnessed clashes, vandalism and confrontations with police. Authorities reportedly made hundreds of arrests as security forces attempted to restore order in affected locations.
Online reactions have been sharply divided. Some users criticised the individual seen in the viral footage and called for accountability, while others urged caution, pointing out that there is currently no verified evidence confirming that the person is Khaled's son. The debate has also highlighted how quickly unverified information can spread on social media during major public events.
Khaled, best known internationally for hit songs such as Didi and Aicha, has not publicly commented on the claims at the time of writing. Khaled's song Didi was recently featured in Dhurandhar 2. Reports note that the singer has two sons, but it remains unclear whether either of them is the person featured in the viral video. Until an official confirmation emerges, the identity of the individual and the allegations surrounding him remain unverified.
Talking about Dhurandhar 2, the film has garnered immense response and turning into a massive box office hit. In Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Ranveer Singh's character Hamza receives a grand Sher-e-Baloch entry sequence set to Didi, the iconic 1992 hit by Khaled. The song replaces Akshaye Khanna's viral FA9LA anthem from the first film and celebrates Hamza's rise as the new Sher-e-Baloch.
