Addressing the gathering, Vishal voiced his support for the demonstration and said he was glad to join the movement. On stage, he announced, "Yeh itna sundar drishya hai. Mujhe inke (Abhijit) saath Delhi mein hone ka mauka nahi mila lekin yahan hone ka mauka mil raha hai. Yeh aandolan chalu rahega tab tak jab tak... 'Go Gyanu Go'."

Vishal, who was part of the protest, was seen hugging Abhijeet too. The clips and pictures were shared by Cockroach Janta Party's official handle as they wrote, "Vishal Dadlani is here! The crowd is going crazy."

The protest was announced as a ‘Jail Bharo Andolan' after Mumbai Police declined permission for the proposed demonstration at Shivaji Park. Dipke had subsequently announced that the 'peaceful' protest would be organised on October 2.

'Go Gyanu Go'

Earlier, Vishal had voiced his support for the protest through social media and urged people to participate in the October 2 demonstration. The music director took to Instagram and shared a video in which he sang the slogan, "Zor se bolo Go Gyanu Go, milke bolo, Go Gyanu Go, saath mein bolo, Go Gyanu Go."

He then added, "Gyanesh Kumar ji, aapne hamare desh ki democracy ke saath Khilwaad kiya hai, hamare election system ke saath Khilwaad kiya hai, apko toh jaana hi hoga. I will be joining the CJP protest tomorrow at 4 pm, Shivaji Park. Saare aaiye, the country needs you. Hasenge, mazza karenge, bade pyaar se Gyanu ko ravaana karenge. Jai Hind." (Gyanesh Kumar ji, you have played with our country's democracy and our election system. You have to go. I will be joining the CJP protest tomorrow at 4 pm at Shivaji Park. Everyone, please come; the country needs you. We'll laugh, have some fun and, with lots of love, bid Gyanu farewell. Jai Hind.)

Veteran actors Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah were also present at the protest site.
